Thing # 17 Add an Entry to Library Sandbox
Commented on the Library Sandbox and saw that other users have commented there as well. The learning experience through the use and implementation of this workshop truly helps us to better understand the importance and relevance of Library 2.0 .
Thing # 16 Wikis
Wikis are a great form to post information and a great way for a community of bloggers to help with a subject. The only disadvantage that I see with the wikis is that anybody can edit them. Therefore leaving an opening for some people to post false facts about some subjects.
Thing # 15 Web 2.0 Future of Libraries
I disagree with the Away from the Icebergs perspective. I think that the web 2.0 tools put everything within reach but we still need to have a hard copy back up. Kids now have ebooks and the web to find the information that they need. Yet, by experience we have seen that once there is no electricity then those resources are no longer available.
Thing # 14 Technorati
Technorati unfortunately is blocked by our network at E.C.I.S.D. I did see the instructional video at librarywiki and it sounds like a great 2.0 tool that I look forward to using in the future.
Thing # 13 Tagging and Discovering Delicious
This is a great tool for teachers to assist students with the lessons taught in the classroom. The students would benefit from searching only those sites that you have tagged for their assistance. They would not need to search the millions and millions of sites available through other search engines.
Thing # 12 Rollyo
The rollyo video was not available through the librarywiki. I did try to create one and paste it onto my blog but I was not successful.

Thing #11 Web 2.0 Tools
On thing 12 I chose flickr and picasa. I enjoyed using picasa to edit, crop and recolor photos and then used flickr to upload and share with my friends. I recommend using picasa because its free and its user friendly.
