Thing #11 Web 2.0 Tools
On thing 12 I chose flickr and picasa. I enjoyed using picasa to edit, crop and recolor photos and then used flickr to upload and share with my friends. I recommend using picasa because its free and its user friendly.
Thing # 10 Online Image Generators
I enjoyed exploring thing #10, because the image generators allow you to create wacky and funny images to showcase on your blog. I created a sportscard for one of our retired librarians.
Thing #9 Finding useful library blogs and RSS feeds
I found several useful feeds and have added them at the bottom of the page. Feel free to scroll down to and see these useful feeds about news in the library.
Thing # 8 RSS Feeds
RSS feeds make the gathering of information easier and faster. Now you do not have to navigate away from one page to see what is happening in another. The information is now coming to you instead of you having to hunt it down. This makes navigating the net more user friendly.

Thing #4 Register your Blog
I sent in the email to esc1library@gmail.com to register my blog with Region 1.
Thing #3 Creating a Blog and an Avatar
Wow, creating the avatar was easy. It allows you to have so many options as far as hairstyle, skin color, dress apparel, and background. If you do not have a user account with yahoo, it gives instructions step by step on how to create the account and then transfer the avatar to your blog.
Thing # 2 Lifelong Learning Habits
The 7 1/2 Learning Habits.
The easiest learning habit is #1 setting your goal.
The hardest one that I confronted was # 7 teaching and mentoring. Some people close themselves to this type of habits and it becomes harder for them to give themselves a chance to be taught new things.
